Open Call For Artists! An opportunity to show your work at MAM!
The challenge sounds simple: create a work of art with only one tool.
The Chipstone Foundation invited 16 makers from around the world to attempt this proposition. The work they produced is on view in The Tool at Hand, an exhibition that runs at the Milwaukee Art Museum until April 1, 2012.
Milwaukee is a city full of creative makers, and the Chipstone Foundation would like to invite makers in the city to explore this concept. On March 17th, 2012 at Sweet Water Organics, we will host an exhibition of works by local artists made with one tool. Think you’ve got what it takes? Interested in trying your hand at this project and submitting work to the show? You do not need to submit a video, nor send your work to MAM.
A jury of visiting artists will judge the work in the show and select three pieces that will go on view at the Milwaukee Art Museum until The Tool at Hand closes in early April.
